Breakfast and After School Club

Gipsy Hill

At the Kingswood Breakfast & After School Clubs, it is our aim to provide a reliable and consistent service in a happy, secure and stimulating environment for all our children.

Play is at the heart of what we do and we believe this should be challenging, stimulating and provide opportunities for personal and social development.

Our team of experienced Playworkers and Teaching Assistants plan a variety of activities which your child can choose to take part in. These include physical, creative, cultural and imaginative activities. These activities will be a variety of structured and unstructured play opportunities and will take place both indoors and outdoors.

Please expand the sections below for further information.

Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is situated in the lunch hall at both Kingswood Upper & Lower Sites. Sessions start at 7:30 until the start of the school day.

Breakfast is usually served at 8:15 and children will have a choice of a hot or cold meal. This will usually include a choice of cereals, toast, beans, eggs, cheese on toast, porridge etc.  All our meals are provided by our School Caterers, Harrison’s and they are happy to cater for all special dietary requirements.

During the session there is always a selection of table top activities on offer as well as quiet areas for reading.

After School Club

The After School Club starts at the end of the school day and finishes at 6.20pm at Kingswood Lower site and 6:00pm at Kingswood Upper Site.

Our sessions begin with registration, drink and fruit. We then give the children opportunities to play outside or free independent play with table top activities in our Top Hall.

Mid-way through the session we provide the children with a meal. During the spring and summer months, this is a cold tea and will include a selection of wraps, sandwiches, baguettes, pasta, salad, fruit and smoothies.  During the autumn and winter months we provide a hot tea and this will include dishes like Cajun chicken wrap, shepherd’s pie, chicken curry with rice etc. All our meals are provided by the school caterers, Harrisons and they are happy to cater for all special dietary requirements.
